Gorka Espiau, PhD, is Director of the Agirre Lehendakaria Center for Social and Political Studies (UPV-EHU), Scientific Director of the Work4Progress programme (La Caixa Banking Foundation), member of the COTEC 100 and lead expert to support the new Centres of Competence in Social Innovation promoted by the European Commission in all member states. Previously, he was Special Advisor to the Presidency of the Basque Government, Professor of Practice at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Montreal (CIRM-McGill University) and Senior Fellow at the United States Institute of Peace.
